A huge obstacle in any restoration project is ensuring proper preparation before rebuilding. The days of spending dozens of hours sanding, media blasting, and using harsh (and usually ineffective) strippers to try to achieve a suitable bare metal surface are over - allow us to enable you to entirely skip the frustrating part of the process.

Restoration Dipping Services uses acid-free Evapo-Rust ® which is a nationally renowned rust remover. With the help of Evapo-Rust®, we can guarantee that whatever rust-covered gear, equipment, or vehicle you have will be clean and rust-free in a matter of days. We only use Evapo-Rust ® de-ruster and products from the Evapo-Rust ® family to remove rust, paint, and grime. Projects are pressure washed with water, then dipped in our custom Evapo-Rust ® tank for four hours. They are pressure washed again and then dipped again overnight. Paint removal is done the following morning using Safe Erase paint stripper.

Evapo-Rust ® does not affect un-rusted steel, aluminum, copper, chrome, tin, brass, pot metal, or iron. Metals that must be removed before dipping are Babbitt metal, lead, magnesium, and cadmium (a rarely used plating on bolts).

Evapo-Rust ® does not affect rubber, glass, or plastic.

Evapo-Rust ® does remove bluing, black oxide coating, and some paints.

Evapo-Rust ® will turn lead bright yellow. Lead is often embedded in areas when leaded gas has been in contact with steel.
